Back business, bring a bowler

On Friday of World Orphan Week (13 February 2009) WOW will take over the City of London.

Bowler Hat Day is a unique event that will transform the square mile for 24 hours and transform the lives of orphans across the world for ever. We are asking everyone in the City and beyond to take a trip back in time and don the Bowler Hat for their journey into and away from work.

For one day the people of the square mile will cast off the chinos and opal fruit Ralph Lauren shirts to be transported back twenty five years to a time when a smart, prosperous, principled London was epitomised by the Bowler Hat.

For one day the fears of recession and the worries of financial crisis will be forgotten as the City shows it still represents those fabled traditional values and has not lost its soul.

There are nearly half a million people working in the City of London and between now and Bowler Hat Day-13 February 2009 - we want each one to buy a Bowler Hat. It could be funky or classic, felt or plastic - put your own spin on Bowler Hat Day and raise a smile around your office.
